The easiest way to use Yahoo! Pipe is to clone an existing pipe and then tweak it until it does what you want.

For example I have an existing pipe which takes a feed of tweets, filters and formats it nicely, and then republishes at an RSS feed (which I can then use twitterfeed.com to turn into a list of tweets from my a twitter account).
