Potential of Facebook for walking

Inspired by the 'Joy of Stats' on BBC4 I decided to see what the reach is for walking/rambling on Facebook. The stats are based on what people publicly put on their Facebook profiles.

So for those who specify 'Walking' in their profile their is the potential to reach over 68K people within a 10 mile radius of London.  However when we use the term 'Rambling' this drops to only 480 people. Lastly 260 within the same parameters specify 'Strolling'

You can see the images attached which are screen grabs.  This data is derived from Facebook by basically pretending to buy a targeted advert.  Prior to buying you get to input some parameters and Facebook tells you the potential reach.  Rest assured I have not bought an advert.

This is I think useful data should anyone question the wisdom of using Facebook pages.
